Marijuana can kill youMarijuana happens to be one of the safest substance on the planet, because it is virtually impossible to die from overdose. There are many different statistics, all related to the LD-50 of THC, the active component in marijuana. Drugs and substances are routinely given something called an LD-50. This stands for Lethal Dose - 50%, and is measured in mg/Kg (mg of substance per kg of subject body weight). It is the amount of the substance that it takes to kill 50% of the subject given the substance. At present, the amount of marijuana you would have to consume in a period of time is so incredibly high that it is impossible to overdose from smoking or eating it. You would have to have THC administered intravenously to reach a toxic level, as has been done with rats in experiment labs.
