I don't do drugsThe fact is, that almost all people have used to consumed some form of drug in their lifetime, even without knowing it. The most obvious one is alcohol, but some people do not even realize that alcohol is a drug. Even wonder why you hear "No drugs or alcohol"? It should be enough to say "No drugs", which would include alcohol, without many people realizing it. If asked, people will say they do not 'do' drugs. But if they drink alcohol, they are using a drug. A less commonly known drug is caffeine. Many people drink coffee, but if asked if they use drugs, will still respond 'no'. Well, if you drink coffee in the morning to help you wake up, you are using drugs. And finally, there are many drugs in the every day food we eat. An example is Tryptophan, an amino acid found in turkey, among other foods, that makes people sleepy and puts people in a good mood. We cannot survive without it, and it happens to act as a drug. The point is that drugs are not separate from humans, they are not completely alien to us or any other living being. Drugs differ from one another, and all drugs could be placed on a scale where one end is essential to life, and the other end would be detrimental to life. Marijuana would probably fall in the middle. There are drugs, or substances that acts as drugs in many of the foods we eat. Common substances like beer or coffee also contain drugs, but many people don't realize it. A drug like marijuana is only a different drug, not a completely new level of intoxication.
