Here are a few tips for cooking with cannabis:

1. As a general rule of thumb, multiply whatever you would smoke by a factor of 3 when consuming cannabis orally. That means if you would smoke 0.5g to get high, you would need at least 1.5g to get high by eating it.

2. Be careful when cooking something above 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius, because this is when THC, starts to turn into a vapor. Make sure ALL of the weed is covered in butter, oil, or something that containers one of the two like chocolate.

3. THC is ONLY trapped or extracted by fats like butter or vegetable oil, or alcohol. Make sure whatever you are making has fat or alcohol in it, and the more the better.

4. Always grind up the marijuana as finely as possible, turn it into a powder. If you are not going to invest in a grinder and POWDER the bud first, might as well not waste the marijuana, go smoke it instead of cooking. This is vital to get ALL of the THC out of it, otherwise you will leave some behind.

5. Always cook long enough, and then a little more, but never cook too hot or cold. This will make sure you get all the THC out of the pot and not loose any.
